Highlighted months are often considered the best time to travel: pleasant weather, swimmable sea and fewer crowds than in high season.

When is the best time to visit the Albanian Riviera?

May–June and September–October are experienced by many as the best period: 23–28 °C in the air, a swimmable sea (19–25 °C) and quieter than peak season.

July–August is warmest at around 31 °C in daylight with the sea at 25–26 °C – perfect for beaches and boat trips, but expect the most visitors and the highest prices.

Winters are mild at 14–15 °C during the day with about 10 rain days a month. The sun often shines and it's ideal for excursions, hiking and long stays – but the sea is too cool for swimming.
